“LIKE CRAZY’S” FELICITY JONES TO BE HONORED AT THE HOLLYWOOD FILM AWARDS
Jones to receive the “New Hollywood Award”
The 15th Annual Hollywood Film Festival and Hollywood Awards announced that Felicity Jones will be recognized with the “New Hollywood Award” at the Hollywood Awards Gala Ceremony taking place at the Beverly Hilton Hotel on October 24, 2011. The same award was previously given to Academy Award® nominees Jennifer Lawrence (WINTER’S BONE) and Gabourey Sidibe (PRECIOUS).
Jones next stars in “LIKE CRAZY” from Paramount Pictures and Indian Paintbrush, opening October 28. Jones, who won the Special Jury Prize for Best Actress at the 2011 Sundance Film Festival for her role as Anna, plays a British college student who falls for her American classmate, played by Anton Yelchin. Directed by Drake Doremus and written by Doremus and Ben York Jones, “LIKE CRAZY” explores how a couple faces the real challenges of being together and of being apart after Anna (Jones) violates the terms of her visa.
Jones also recently completed a pair of additional projects including HYSTERIA with Maggie Gyllenhaal, Hugh Dancy and Rupert Everett, which premiered at the 2011 Toronto International Film Festival and CHEERFUL WEATHER FOR THE WEDDING, directed by Donald Rice based on Julia Strachey's 1932 novella, with Mackenzie Crook, Elizabeth McGovern and Luke Treadaway.
