After an extensive search, The Walt Disney Studios is pleased to announce that 13-year-old Storm Reid will play the lead role of Meg Murry in the upcoming Disney live action adaptation of Madeleine L'Engle’s A WRINKLE IN TIME.

Los Angeles, CA, August 15, 2016 – Fox Searchlight Pictures’ Presidents Stephen Gilula and Nancy Utley announced that principal photography on THE SHAPE OF WATER began today in Toronto, Canada.  The film stars Academy Award nominee Sally Hawkins (BLUE JASMINE, HAPPY-GO-LUCKY), Academy Award nominee Michael Shannon (REVOLUTIONARY ROAD, 99 HOMES), Academy Award nominee Richard Jenkins (THE VISITOR, “Olive Kitteridge”), Doug Jones (CRIMSON PEAK, HELLBOY), Golden Globe nominee Michael Stuhlbarg (A SERIOUS MAN, STEVE JOBS) and Academy Award winner Octavia Spencer (THE HELP, GIFTED).  Academy Award nominated Guillermo del Toro (PAN’S LABYRINTH, CRIMSON PEAK) will direct and co-write with Vanessa Taylor (“Game of Thrones,” DIVERGENT).  The film is being produced by del Toro and J. BURBANK, Calif. (June 30, 2016) – Wreck-It Ralph is heading back to the big screen, and this time, he’s wrecking the internet. The Oscar®-nominated Walt Disney Animation Studios team from the original film is reteaming for the follow-up, including director Rich Moore (“Zootopia,” “The Simpsons”) and producer Clark Spencer (“Zootopia,” “Bolt”). Phil Johnston (writer, “Wreck-It Ralph,” “Zootopia,” “Cedar Rapids”) joins Moore as director and a writer on the project. John C. Reilly and Sarah Silverman return as the bad-guy-turned-good, Ralph, and the girl with the game-winning glitch, Vanellope von Schweetz. The untitled sequel will hit theaters—literally—on March 9, 2018.

(June 16, 2016) – As Disney•Pixar’s “Finding Dory” swims into theaters this week, low-vision and blind fans are invited to enjoy the film alongside family members in theaters, thanks to a breakthrough in independent moviegoing. Smart-syncing audio description, a new feature introduced to in-home audiences four months ago on the Disney Movies Anywhere (DMA) app, heads to theaters nationwide for the first time with the release of “Finding Dory.” Accessed via one’s own iPhone® or iPad® and a set of ear buds, the feature provides users with free audio description that elegantly narrates important on-screen action for those who can’t always follow along visually.
