The 6th Annual Las Vegas Film Festival (LVFF) which took place for four days, Thursday July 18 to Sunday, July 21 at LVH (Las Vegas Hotel) awarded the Indie Icon Awards to two young actors, Zoë Bell and Rory J. Saper for their respective performances in “Raze” and “Rufus” with red carpet appearances and presentations on Saturday, July 20.

Zoë Bell is one of the most sought after and celebrated stunt actors in the industry. After beginning her career as the stunt double for Lucy Lawless on “Xena: Warrior Princess” , Bell’s next job was stunt double for Uma Thurman’s “The Bride” in the action-packed and critically lauded double feature “Kill Bill: Vol. 1” and “Kill Bill: Vol. 2” directed by Quentin Tarantino. The movies racked up multiple award nominations and Bell won two World Stunt Awards for her work. In 2004, Bell starred in the documentary, “Double Dare” chronicling the lives and struggles of two stuntwomen in a male-dominated Hollywood industry. Tarantino cast Bell, as an actress, in his camp thriller “Death Proof.” Transitioning to more acting roles, she has made guest appearances on “Lost,” “Gossip Girl,” “CSI: Miami” and more and had featured roles in the films “Whip It” and “Hansel & Gretel: Witch Hunter.” Most recently, Bell was seen in the Academy Award™ nominated film “Django Unchained.”

Rory J. Saper is rapidly emerging as one of the UK's brightest talents. After starring in “‘Til The Sun Rests,” which won the Limelight Award for Best Experimental Film in 2011, it was Saper's performance in several independent short films, posted on YouTube, which caught the eye of UK casting director in search of a fresh young actor to play Rufus. Writer/Director Dave Schultz auditioned hundreds of teenagers from across Canada, America and Western Europe before Saper (who was only 15 years old at the time) was chosen for his spellbinding audition. For his first starring role, as the titled, Rufus, he received a best actor nomination this year at the Milan International Film Festival.

Walking the red carpet prior to the screening of Raze on Saturday night, July 20 were Zoe Bell,  Bailey Anne Borders (“Raze,” “The Change-Up”), Josh Waller (Director of “Raze”), Drew Seeley (“Lovestruck: The Musical”),  Amy Paffrath (“Hot In Cleveland”), Drew Seeley, Allene Quincy, Rebecca Marshall, Tonya Kay, Tracie Thoms, Schwartzy and Pagana (Comedians/ Movie Critics).

Joining Rory Saper on the red carpet prior to the screening of “Rufus” were:  Kim Coates (“Rufus,” “Sons of Anarchy”), Victoria Cruz, Director Dave Schultz.
